The holiday season is upon us. Time to relax a bit and soak in some cycling via the internet. Chico Corsa wishes all of you a joyous December and a safe new years.

This newsletter is a gift from the Chico Corsa Cycling Club. Our hope is that we inspire you to help Chico become a better cycling town than it already is. A Word from the President
 
Watching the Scale

I have never been accused of being overweight. In fact I have often been called thin. But over the 20 years since high school I have watched the scale climb as high as 150 lbs. That might not sound like much but I tower over small children at 5'4". My high school wrestling weight was 126 lbs at the same height.

So why am I telling you this? I am not sure yet, so bare with me as I ramble... This year I made a significant improvement on accents. I beat my best times up Cohasset and the Forest Ranch TT by 3 minutes each. I also... Continue

"Cross" Over Skills

Howdy all! Back again. To continue in the cyclo-cross vein I thought I would talk about cross over skills that you can bring to cross racing or ones you can learn there and take to other disciplines. One of the more famous examples is Lance's use of his cyclo-cross skills when Beloki had the horrific crash a few years ago in the Tour which sent Lance off through a field and adjacent bar ditch. The podium placing's continue for Chico Corsa. Lau's infectious attitude towards Cyclocross has got some of us out there flying the green and gold in the dirt. With the bulk of the winter still ahead of us, lets try to get more of us out there to enjoy the fun.
