Six Chico Corsa racers braved the tough Nevada City Classic last weekend. We didn't make the podium but we made sure we made an impression. Anthony Ferretti finished in the pack while Maggie Jones tested out the hay bales and survived in the junior race. Dave Albrecht gave a valiant effort in the Masters 1/2/3 race and finished in the pack. James Plummer and Mike Jasinski were doing well in the 3s early in the race but that darn hill kept beating them into submission. And lastly, Yacov Spivak gave Lance and Levi a run for their money but came up short in the end. However, the Chico Corsa cheering section at the top of the hill could not be challenged as far as support for their team and enthusiasm for NorCal bike racing. Plans are to dominate next year in all areas.
